Job Profile The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor , a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. Responsibilities Provide solutions including systems architecture, design, technical specifications, implementation plans, and testing methodologies to meet business needs. Develop and implement Public Cloud strategies for Business Intelligence and analytics products. Perform system repairs, upgrades, security vulnerability mitigation, and capacity assessments. Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions; respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues. Evaluate BI reporting system architecture, design, and processes; recommend improvements. Implement load balancing, high availability, and horizontal scaling on AWS. Leverage the latest technologies within Cigna for automation of BI processes, CI/CD pipelines, and log analysis for BI products. Automate patching, upgrades, monitoring, alerts, and deployment processes for BI products. Research and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability. Work on a hybrid work schedule. Qualifications Requires a Masters degree in Computers, Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of IT experience, or a Bachelors degree with 5 years of IT experience. Must have experience with: Web-based and enterprise application development using Java/J2EE technologies. Working with Teradata CIM and RTIM, Big Data technologies like HBase, Hive, Kafka. Developing applications with Java, Python, Scala, GraphQL, AngularJS, NodeJS, JavaScript, Spring REST services, and design patterns. Implementing email and SMS notification systems using Amazon SDK and Twilio SDK. Working with AWS services such as VPC, Route53, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, S3, EC2, Secrets Manager. Building applications with databases like Postgres, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, RedShift, Teradata. Hosting BI platforms such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot on AWS. Developing infrastructure as code with Terraform and CloudFormation. Creating CI/CD pipelines for deployment in AWS. Using version control tools like GitLab, GitHub; build tools like Maven. Leading BI platform projects on AWS, including Tableau and ThoughtSpot. Gathering requirements, preparing technical specifications, and designing solutions. Working on functional design documents and obtaining stakeholder sign-off. Shell scripting, working with SphereSphere Application Server, Spring MVC, Kafka, Solr, VIS.JS, HTML, CSS, DB2, JAXB, Jenkins, and BDD methodologies.
