Overview A lovely family in Oakland, CA with two children (5 and 8 years old) are seeking a full-time nanny to start by June 1st, 2025. The children are home-schooled, social, friendly and well-traveled. They are seeking an experienced and organized individual that can work as a Nanny, Family Assistant & Children's Schedule Coordinator. While educational support is valued, this role focuses on maintaining the smooth daily operation of the home and supporting the children's routines and activities. The parents will be working full-time and need someone proactive and dependable to keep the household running efficiently, supervise tutoring sessions, and ensure the children receive daily physical activity, consistent rhythm and homework support. The general schedule will be a 40 hour week, Monday through Friday, ideally 7am-3pm, with some flexibility desired. The position includes extensive travel.
Responsibilities 1. Home & Family Coordination:
- Supervise children during online tutoring sessions.
- Ensure the children get regular daily walks, outdoor time and homework support.
- Maintain an organized home, support household routines, and involve children in appropriate age tasks while encouraging free play and independence.
2. Activity & Enrichment Planning:
- Provide enrichment in the form of either a second language (Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, or French) or musical engagement (piano, guitar, drum, or singing/performing songs) three times per week.
- Research local enrichment opportunities, playgroups, and events. Assist in planning age- appropriate activities for the children during travel periods, ensuring a balance of fun, learning, and rest. Assist in managing and implementing the children's daily schedule.
- Drive children to and from activities, play groups, or other engagements as needed.
3. Travel Requirements:
- Be available for international travel with the family from September 2025 to February 2026 (France, Australia, and Dubai), with travel costs covered and private accommodation provided.

Requirements - Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Experience working with children in home or educational settings.
- Ability to work independently and maintain structure.
- Ability to teach either a second language (Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, or French) or a musical skill (piano, guitar, drum, or singing/performing).
- Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license.
- Valid passport.
- Travel experience.
- Ability to swim and comfortable caring for children in and near water.
- Family assisting experience.
- BA degree preferred.
- Must be Trustline Certified and legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits - Time Off: Four weeks of paid vacation distributed throughout the months of August, September and December.
- Rate: $30-$40/hour.
- Healthcare: Monthly stipend of $250 toward health insurance.
- Start Date: Position to be filled by end of May 2025, to allow for establishing rhythm and responsibilities in Oakland before travel in August.
